The exhibition "A dream in Umbria" by Italian photographer Fulvio Roiter, member of the neorealist artistic group La Gondola, will remain open to the public at the Italian Institute of Culture in Paris until January 16th. Born in Venice in 1926 and known for photos taken in his city, Roiter is the Italian pioneer of photographic books. The forty-eight black and white photos displayed at the Institute are selected by his work "Umbria. Land of St. Francis" (1955), with which he won the Nadar award in 1956. Roiter managed to unveil the beauty of the places he visited, as well as making the experiences of everyday life extraordinary and try to draw from them the true substance of things.
