From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
The British Library, the national library of the United Kingdom, has entrusted Mediamonitor, an Italian company which is of the Cedat 85 Group, and specialized in audio and video management, the task of transcribing and archiving the radio broadcasts of its collection using a solution based on speech technology to text. Thanks to this technology, the library heritage will be easily accessible and usable by end users. The initiative is part of the British Library's "Save our Sounds" project, which aims to preserve the heritage of audio recordings stored in the library's archives. An extraordinary collection of 6.5 million recordings of speeches, music, nature and environment sounds, collected from 1880 to the present day. Mediamonitor will use the collaboration of T-Pro, a system integrator specialized in solutions based on automatic voice recognition technologies.
