(10 January 2018) Uninettuno is among the 102 universities selected by the UN for its commitment to achieving the 2030 sustainable development goals.  The Rector Maria Amata Garito has in fact signed in New York the declaration with which the University joins the Universities #JoinTogether Network, a network of Universities from all over the world, created to share ideas and best practices aimed at achieving UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), with a focus on Objective No. 16, which aims to promote fair, peaceful, and inclusive societies.  Uninettuno is the only Italian university accepted in the global network of the United Nations.  #JoinTogether is part of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI), requested by the UN to strengthen the relationship between education and sustainable development. In the context of the #JoinTogether Network Conference that took place on January 7th at the UN headquarters, Rector Garito presented the model of "University for Refugees". "Universities - Garito affirms - have always been true instruments of peace and respect for differences, a melting pot of international identities, as well as authors of the most creative chapters in history.  Thanks to its history, UNINETTUNO has created the University for Refugees, developing a large workshop for a real inclusion, to improve good immigration and intercultural dialogue ".
