(15 January 2018) “La Comunità ebraica più antica d’Europa tra storia e memoria: il ghetto, i battesimi forzati, l’emancipazione, la Prima e la Seconda Guerra Mondiale” (The oldest Jewish community in Europe between history and memory: The ghetto, the forced baptisms, the emancipation, the First and the Second World War) is the title of the conference which will be held on January 21st at 11:00 at the University of Our Lady of Good Counsel in Tirana. The conference will be held by Silvia Haia Antonucci, head of the Historical Archive of the Jewish Community of Rome "Giancarlo Spizzichino". During the event the history of the Roman Jewish Community, the oldest in Europe, will be illustrated with documents kept in its Archive, considered one of the most important ones in regards to Jewish history, declared by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage in 1981 of "considerable historical interest".
