The Italian Frecce Tricolori at the BIAS 2012

(Jul. 23) - A great show the on offered by Italian Frecce Tricolori at the Bucharest International Air Show (BIAS), which took place last July 21st and 22nd. The flying team joined Romanian and Turkish acrobatic air displays. The crew were guests of honor at a promotional event held at the residence of Italian Ambassador Cospito and organized by the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region and the Vienna ENIT. The event was attended by more than 200 guests, including civilian and military authorities, associations and institutions active in the field of tourism promotion and food industry, and representatives of Embassies. The guests have appreciated, in particular, the two faces of the event: highlight the role of Italy’s Air Force and the latest technology it uses, and spread to a wider audience the historical, cultural and gastronomic heritage of Friuli Venezia Giulia, where in Rivolto there is the headquarter of the Frecce. THE ORIGIN OF ITALY'S NATIONAL AEROBATIC FLYING TEAM
The high-level tradition express today by the Frecce Tricolori is inspired by a glorious past made by men and machines, that since the 30s began to practice aerobatic flight to represent the Italian Air Force in international air shows and keep up the honor and prestige of Italy in the aeronautical field. The official begin dates back to 1961 with the institution of the Pattuglia Acrobatica Nazionale, that replaced unofficial teams after a pause caused by the Second World War.
