Tunis - A memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening the partnership between the public and private sectors was signed by the Minister of University and Research, Annamaria Bernini, and Farmindustria President, Marcello Cattani, during yesterday's Farmindustria assembly. This agreement, through collaboration between pharmaceutical companies and academic institutions both in Italy and abroad, aims to foster the training of highly qualified and specialized professionals, particularly in STEM disciplines. It encourages company participation in university and post-university training activities (such as specialization schools, master's programs, and industrial doctorates) and integrated teaching. Additionally, the initiative seeks to retain and enhance talent within Italian universities and companies while also attracting talent from abroad. Supporting the new Mattei Plan to strengthen cooperation with Africa, the protocol includes initiatives for training, skill development, and joint projects between companies and institutions in applied research and innovation in the life sciences.
