Istanbul - The 2024 edition (the fifth) of the "New Italian Cinema - Sunday Film" series continues in Istanbul. Starting in June, and running throughout the year on a monthly basis (with the exception of July and August), the series will present the public with a selection of the best and most recent Italian films, screened in the original language (Italian) with Turkish subtitles. The screenings take place at 4:00 PM at the IBB Beyoglu Sinemasi, marking a valuable collaboration between the Italian Cultural Institute of Istanbul and the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Once again, this cinematic offering provides a unique opportunity for enthusiasts of contemporary Italian cinema, as well as curious onlookers, to discover the latest works in our film industry. Following the screening of Sergio Castellitto's "Il Materiale emotivo" on June 23, the program features "Come pecore in mezzo ai lupi" by Lyda Patitucci (September 29), "Una notte da dottore" by Guido Chiesa (October 27), "Con tutto il cuore" by Vincenzo Salemme (November 17), and "The Christmas Show" by Alberto Ferrari (December 22). The program includes screenings of films selected in collaboration with the foreign sales company True Colours. All screenings are free of charge. (9colonne)
