Rabat – As part of the retrospective Venice in Rabat, the film "L'anno dell'uovo", directed by Claudio Casale, will be screened in the Moroccan capital on October 9 at 6 p.m. The event, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute and the Italian Embassy in Rabat, in collaboration with the Institut Supérieur des Métiers de l’Audiovisuel et du Cinéma de Rabat and the Fondation Hiba, will take place at Cinéma Renaissance.
The film tells the story of Gemma and Adriano, a young couple expecting their first child. They decide to temporarily step away from their daily routine so that the pregnancy can unfold within a spiritual community, where meditation and prayers are practiced to ensure the birth under the influence of a golden egg that dominates the temple. Unlike Gemma, Adriano struggles to connect with the atmosphere and the community’s way of life. Suddenly, an unpredictable and unwanted event triggers an indecipherable crisis for both, from which either negative consequences or, conversely, new opportunities may arise.
