Manama – On the occasion of the 33rd edition of the Bahrain International Music Festival, the Italian Embassy in Bahrain, in collaboration with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, organized a concert at the Culture Hall in Manama featuring Luca Velotti and Silvia Manco. The duo paid tribute to some of Italy’s greatest composers and jazz artists, from Paolo Conte to Ennio Morricone. Velotti and Manco performed twelve pieces, including “Metti una sera a cena” by Ennio Morricone and “Anema e core” by Salvatore D’Esposito and Tito Manlio. “I am very grateful to Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, President of the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities," stated the Italian Ambassador to Bahrain, Andrea Catalano, "for the long-standing collaboration and for once again opening the doors of the Cultural Hall to two talented Italian musicians. Tonight’s concert further confirms the strong and fruitful cooperation with the Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, which supports the promotion of Italian culture, history, and art in Bahrain and the Gulf, while also enriching the Kingdom’s cultural offerings for the benefit of all citizens and residents.” (9colonne)
