Pretoria – A mini-tour in South Africa by Italian pianist Ida Pelliccioli is being presented by the Italian Cultural Institute of Pretoria. The Bergamo-born musician will perform on November 3 at the Wagner Society in Cape Town, on November 5 at the Music Society of Makhanda in Grahamstown, on November 10 at the Oak in Hermanus, on November 12 at the Stilbaai Music Society in Stilbaai, on November 14 at the Mossel Bay Arts Society in Mossel Bay, and on November 17 at the Helderberg Village Music Society in Somerset West. The program is as follows: Scarlatti – Sonata in D major K.492, Sonata in B minor K.197, Sonata in F minor K.386; W.A. Mozart – Fantasia and Fugue in C major K.394, Fantasia in C minor K.396; Blasco de Nebra – Sonata No. 10 in C major, Sonata No. 1 in C minor; Schubert – Drei Klavierstücke D946. Pelliccioli has performed throughout Europe, Canada, Australia, and South Africa. In 2024, she made her debut in Sweden, Lithuania, Austria, Iceland, and Australia. She will make her debut in New Zealand and Thailand in 2025. During the 2024-2025 season, the pianist will perform at prestigious venues such as the National Gallery in London, the Royal Theatre and Concert Hall in Nottingham, and Villa Medici in Rome.
