Tunis - An international mission spanning two continents for Macfrut, the international fruit and vegetable fair scheduled to take place at the Rimini Expo Centre from May 6 to 8. The first leg of the mission took place in Tunisia and included meetings with operators, producer organizations, and institutions, alongside Apia Tunisia, the agency that supports Tunisian businesses in participating in international fairs. The mission featured the participation of Macfrut President Renzo Piraccini and the head of the foreign office, Valentina Piraccini. The meeting was notably positive, as Apia assured support for Tunisia's participation in the upcoming edition of the event, continuing a journey that had already seen Tunisia at the fair during the previous edition. In recent days, Valentina Piraccini participated in a mission in Peru, one of the most dynamic countries in the South American fruit and vegetable landscape. The visit included a presentation of Macfrut 2025, attended by major Peruvian operators as well as sector institutions. The event also featured the Cermac Consortium with some associated Italian companies, showcasing technological innovations in the field. During the mission, a visit to the University of Piura was organized in conjunction with the event at the IILA demonstration center. This meeting strengthens the ties between Macfrut and Peru, a country that has participated in the event for years, especially highlighted during the 2016 edition when it was the partner country of that edition.
