Zurich – As part of the “Italian Innovation in Switzerland” project, the Comites of Zurich is awarding five scholarships, each worth €1,500, to five outstanding Italian researchers recognized for their research, with support from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The award ceremony will take place on November 6 at the Asien-Orient Institute of the University of Zurich. The recipients are:
Stefano Cristelli from the University of Zurich for his work on “Ancient Texts from Trentino”
Federica Breimaier from ETH Zurich for “Production and Perception Data on the Ongoing Demise of the Neuter vs. Masculine Contrast in Two Italo-Romance Varieties”
Silvia Vettori for “Development of Virtual Sensing Techniques for Structural Systems Monitoring and Diagnostics”
Marco Cattaneo for “Dynamic Behavior of Microbubbles and Their Potential Application in Biological Systems”
Francesco Vicentini for “New Computational Methods for Modeling Fractures in Heterogeneous Materials”
The event will feature addresses by Michele Loporcaro from the University of Zurich; Pietro Gambardella, Laura De Lorenzis, and Maddalena Velonà from ETH Zurich; Antonio Ionio, Deputy Consul General of Italy in Zurich; and Gerardo Petta, President of Comites Zurich.
