Sydney – Several events are scheduled in Australia for the Week of Italian Cuisine in the World, organized by the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney in collaboration with the ICE Agency and the Italian Consulate in Brisbane. Special guests will include chef and author Viola Buitoni and oenologist Eleonora Marconi. Buitoni will present her first book, Italy by Ingredient – Artisanal Foods / Modern Recipes, published by Rizzoli, on November 16 at Abbeys Bookshop in Sydney and on November 26 at Books for Cooks in Melbourne. In her book, the chef explores the history of Italy’s iconic ingredients.
On November 20, at 5:45 PM, Sydney will also host a tasting dinner at Machiavelli Restaurant, featuring four courses dedicated to Provolone, crafted by Viola Buitoni together with Machiavelli's chef Domenico Stefanelli. Each dish will be paired with select fine wines chosen by oenologist Eleonora Marconi. The following day, at 6 PM, a conversation with Buitoni and Marconi will be held at the Italian Cultural Institute in Sydney. In Brisbane, there will be two culinary events: on November 15 at D.Vino Restaurant and on November 19 at 6 PM at Attimi Restaurant, with a presentation by Marconi and Buitoni for Italian restaurateurs in the city scheduled for November 18 at 3 PM.
