From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
After the great success of its first season, Linea Azzurri returns, the program dedicated to the champions of Italian sports. Six new episodes of the format, created by Angelo Maietta, will air weekly every Saturday from February 8 to March 15, at 4:30 PM (New York time) on Rai Italia. The following day, episodes will also be available on RaiPlay. Each 40-minute episode will feature exclusive interviews, taking viewers on a unique journey through memory and territory, unveiling the symbolic places of each athlete’s childhood and the flavors that shaped their early steps toward great achievements. The show thus becomes a tribute to the champions' roots, turning them into authentic ambassadors of their homelands.
The six new episodes will feature: Terryana D’Onofrio (karate), Giovanni De Gennaro (canoe slalom), Silvana Stanco (trap shooting), Ludovico Viberti (swimming), Angela Andreoli (artistic gymnastics), Amanda Embriaco (paracanoe). These are stories of sacrifice, passion, and resilience, representing the very best of Italian sports while offering a powerful glimpse into the human spirit and determination.
Returning this season is Giovanni Malagò, President of the Italian National Olympic Committee (CONI), alongside a major new addition: the official sponsorship of the Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security. This marks one of the key innovations of this season, as the show will place a special focus on sustainability in sports, aligning with the CONI-MASE protocol signed on July 11, 2024.
