Italy and Poland align on Europe's industrial future

"Italy and Poland share common positions on the future of European industrial policy, as demonstrated by the cooperation we are pursuing at the EU level, including through the two strategic non-papers on the Automotive sector and the revision of the CBAM (Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism), aimed at protecting the steel and chemical industries," stated Adolfo Urso, Minister of Enterprises and Made in Italy, during a meeting yesterday with Poland’s Minister of Development and Technology, Krzysztof Paszyk, on the sidelines of the informal joint Competitiveness and Trade Council in Warsaw.

"In this way," Urso added, "we are showing Europe the path to take in order to save industry and, consequently, the Continent’s competitiveness."

Finally, Urso presented Paszyk with the contents of an upcoming non-paper on the future European Space Law, developed by Italy and Germany, as well as one on microelectronics, drafted in collaboration with the Dutch government.
