From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
The creation of a joint venture to develop the vast U.S. market for “fog cannons” used in industrial dust suppression (in addition to strengthening its presence overseas in the spare parts sector) is the latest addition to the 2025 objectives of Veneto-based Idrobase Group. The company is a global leader in high-pressure water technologies and “healthy breathing” solutions, currently present in 92 countries.
The company’s co-owners, Bruno Ferrarese and Bruno Gazzignato, presented the annual priorities at the headquarters in the province of Padua, announcing a reinforced presence in the African market. This expansion is made possible through licensing agreements with Algerian entrepreneurs, who will take over part of the production currently handled by the Idrobase Ningbo plant in China. Assembled with components sourced from the Italian headquarters, these products will serve the exponentially growing cleaning markets in Africa.
A major challenge awaits the Chinese production unit, Idrobase Ningbo, in 2025: the goal is to increase revenue by 80%, reclaiming market share lost due to the domestic economic downturn and low-cost competition. “However, the tide is turning, and local competitors have decreased,” explains Ferrarese. “By adapting our offerings to market expectations, we are confident that quality will be rewarded.”
