Giuseppina Torre will perform for the first time in Australia on March 1st and 3rd, presenting compositions from her latest albums, Life Book (Decca / Universal Music Italia) and The Choice (Sony Music Italia), before returning to her beloved Sicily for a concert in Catania on March 8th.
"A new and exciting international stop has been added to my tour," says the Sicilian pianist and composer. "I am truly happy and proud to discover a new country, immerse myself in its culture, and share my music. It is an extraordinary opportunity that allows me to connect with new emotions and realities, and I can't wait to experience this unique journey."
On March 1st at 7 PM, she will perform in Melbourne at the Madelaine Centre for Music & Performing Arts at Genezzano College. The evening will also feature readings dedicated to women’s empowerment, recited by actress Carlotta Migliolo. The concert is organized by Comites Victoria and Tasmania and the cultural association The Sicilian Australian Association (TSAA), with the support of the Consulate General of Italy in Melbourne, the Italian Cultural Institute in Melbourne, and private sponsors.
On March 3rd at 7:30 PM, she will perform in Sydney at Club Marconi. The concert is organized by the Federation of Sicilians in Australia and Club Marconi, in collaboration with the Consulate General of Italy in Sydney, the Italian Cultural Institute, CNA, and private sponsors.
Back in Italy, on March 8th at 9 PM, Torre—who has always been committed to the fight against violence against women—will perform in Catania at Teatro Ambasciatori as part of Siamo Donne.
