Piedmont drives innovation in Michigan with VTM nission

Pontiac – Piedmont is the first Italian region to organize a system-level mission to the United States during this sensitive time for the automotive sector. The institutional delegation of the Piedmont System, led by Regional Minister for Economic Development Andrea Tronzano and Deputy Mayor of the City of Turin Michela Favaro, will meet top executives from key Michigan-based manufacturing companies.
The occasion is the second edition of the VTM Michigan business convention, held in Pontiac from April 23 to 24—a platform for OEMs and suppliers to address the challenges and opportunities of the future of mobility and cutting-edge vehicle technologies.
Among the key meetings is today’s (April 22) gathering with c-level representatives from Rivian, Stellantis, Webasto, and Detroit Regional Partnership, attended by Italian Consul in Detroit, Allegra Baistrocchi.
On April 23, the “Piedmont Automotive Ecosystem” will be presented at VTM, alongside the promotion of the fifth edition of VTM Torino, scheduled for March 24–25, 2026.
VTM in Pontiac marks the relaunch of commercial and institutional dialogue with Michigan, a state that has long-standing ties with Piedmont. The goal is to strengthen the bond between the two regions’ economies, both deeply rooted in the automotive and transport industries, and to showcase Piedmont’s expertise through its emerging “Vehicle Valley.” (9colonne)
