From Monday to Friday, BigItalyFocus provides an information overview, ranged from development aid to made in Italy
Author Lorenzo Marone will be in Split to meet the public and present his works translated into Croatian. The Neapolitan writer will appear on 9 August at 6:30 p.m. at the Dante Alighieri Society in Split, and at 8:00 p.m. at the Old Town Hall. On 10 August at 6:30 p.m., he will be at the bookshop Kutak knjiga in Korčula.
The events are organised by the Dante Alighieri Society of Split in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Zagreb. Marone is the author of La tentazione di essere felici (Longanesi 2015), which inspired the film La tenerezza, directed by Gianni Amelio; La tristezza ha il sonno leggero (Longanesi 2016), which was adapted into a film of the same name; Magari domani resto (Feltrinelli 2017); Un ragazzo normale (Feltrinelli 2018); Tutto sarà perfetto (Feltrinelli 2019); La donna degli alberi (Feltrinelli 2020); and the essay Cara Napoli (Feltrinelli 2018).
For Einaudi, he published Inventario di un cuore in allarme (2020 and 2023), Le madri non dormono mai (2022), and Sono tornato per te (2023). His works have been translated into seventeen languages.
