Tbilisi – A public presentation was held in recent days to announce the winners of the Italian-Georgian scholarship co-financing program, established under the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2018 between the International Education Center (IEC) of Georgia and the Conference of Italian University Rectors (CRUI). Complementing the scholarships already offered by the Italian government to Georgian students, this program provides an additional and valuable opportunity for professional and academic growth through study experiences in Italy.
The event was attended by Georgia’s Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Givi Mikanadze; the Director of the IEC, Nunu Mitskevich; members of the diplomatic corps; and Dr. Fabiola Albanese, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Italy in Georgia. In her remarks, Dr. Albanese emphasized the importance of international cooperation in the field of education and warmly congratulated the scholarship recipients.
Thanks to this initiative, ten outstanding Georgian students will pursue academic studies at top Italian universities during the 2025–2026 academic year, further strengthening the educational ties between the two countries.
