Federica Lotti and Caterina Stocchi to perform at HKIFA gala concert

Hong Kong – The Italian Cultural Institute in Hong Kong is supporting Maestro Federica Lotti and Maestro Caterina Stocchi in their participation at the annual Hong Kong International Flute Festival, organized by the Hong Kong International Flute Association (HKIFA). The festival, scheduled for 22 August, features the Hong Kong Flute Summer Camp and the Gala Concert.

During the summer camp, participants from across Asia will have the opportunity to learn from distinguished masters while contributing to the vibrant flute community in Hong Kong. The flute, with its wide expressive range, often opens new avenues of creativity and improvisation for composers.

This year’s Gala Concert will take the audience on a journey through composers’ visions of the flute fantasy. Alongside Federica Lotti and Caterina Stocchi, the stage will welcome both international and local flute masters, including Megan Sterling (Principal Flute of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra), Olivier Nowak (Co-Principal Flute of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra), Linda Stuckey (Piccolo of the Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra), and Ivy Chuang (Flute Professor at the Hong Kong Academy of Performing Arts).
