Buenos Aires – A new research project has been launched with an initial exploratory survey under the title The Italian High School in Argentina: An Analysis of the Reasons Motivating Students and Families to Choose the Italian School. The study is promoted by the School of Modern Languages at the Universidad del Salvador and directed by Dr. Daniel Filoni.
The initiative seeks to examine the role of Italian high schools in Argentina, long regarded as models of educational excellence. “These institutions, present in various cities across the country, serve as a cultural and linguistic bridge between Italy and Argentina, offering a curriculum based on the Italian education system,” explains Professor Mariel Pitton, a member of the research team. “The primary aim is to assess the quality of education provided, the degree of cultural integration, and the impact on the Italian–Argentine community.”
The project will evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of Italian schools in Argentina, looking not only at academic quality but also at how well they integrate with the local school system. The findings will shed light on their cultural impact and help shape proposals to enhance their educational offering.
