May 22 - Who are the Italians in Belgium? A short film gives the answer, bringing together testimonies from yesterday and today. On Thursday, June 11 - at 7pm - the Italian Cultural Institute in Brussels hosts the screening of the documentary "Italiani in Belgio - 34'". Last year, the European project Perypezye Urbane and the Seamedia Project - in collaboration with Howest University and the University of Macerata - produced the video. The documentary was shot between September and November 2014, and features 15 interviews to recount the various and varied faces of Italian generations in Belgium: from former miners to the young people that today have returned to migrate. The project was completed as a research thesis presented in March at the University of Macerata. Shortly after, the project was awarded the prize for Best Video from the P. Conti Regional Museum of Emigration within the competition Migrant Memories. The screening at the ICI (38 Rue de Livourne 1000 Ville de Bruxelles) is organized by Perypezye Urbane and the Seamedia Project in collaboration with Howest University, the University of Macerata and the same Italian Cultural Institute.
