The official visit of Stefano Manservisi, Director General of the International Cooperation and Development Division of the European Commission, to the Pediatric Complex of Bangui, Central African Republic, took place yesterday. An opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between the CUAMM and the EU, committed to strengthening services and combating malnutrition and child mortality. The intervention of Doctors with Africa Cuamm in Bangui started in July this year, at the request of the Bambino Gesù Hospital in Rome (which mainly deals with the malnutrition department and the training of the Central African medical staff) and the Ministry of Health of Bangui. In collaboration with the European Commission, the Italian Cooperation and ACF, its objective is to take charge of the entire Pediatric Complex, supporting the local staff who are already involved in the structure, not only for surgery, but also for what concerns the overall management of the structure.
