Dakar - ITA Airways launched its first direct flight from Rome to Dakar yesterday, a service announced last February. Flights will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays using the new Airbus A321neo, a next-generation, technologically advanced aircraft. The A321neo, the largest member of the Airbus A320neo family, offers exceptional range and performance. Efficient and quiet, it boasts 20% lower fuel consumption and CO2 emissions per seat and a 50% reduction in noise impact compared to previous-generation aircraft in its category. This new route not only provides ITA Airways with a strategic entry point for point-to-point traffic but also facilitates access to other destinations in both countries, combining tourism and business travel.
